All information on bathing sites in Hovedstaden is sourced from Badevandet.dk — the national data portal operated by the Danish Environmental Protection Agency and the Danish Environment Portal. Data is updated seasonally and is official.

Count and distribution

Hovedstaden counts 188 bathing sites across 21 municipalities. Of these, 17 are Blue Flag sites for the current season. Selected locations: Brøndby Strand, Strandparken, Dronningmølle strand, Gilleleje Vest.

Water temperature and weather

Many bathing sites in Hovedstaden have a recorded water temperature in the national overview. Temperatures typically range between 16 and 22 °C during the bathing season (June–August), depending on whether the site is on the coast or at an inland lake.
